Seriously speaking, the motor is divided into ordinary motor, variable frequency motor, brake motor and so on. Under what circumstances do you need to use a variable frequency adjustable speed motor?
The occasions for using variable frequency speed regulating motor are as follows:
(1) Stepless wide speed regulation is required. In particular, the high speed is more than 100% of the power frequency speed, and the low speed is less than 20% of the power frequency speed.
(2) The load is often in the light load state, and when the light load allows the speed to drop. For example, the water pump of water supply system, escalator, air conditioning air supply system, etc. At this time, it has certain energy-saving effect.
(3) Where stepless speed regulation is required and soft starting and / or soft braking are required.
(4) Need stepless speed regulation, and need to reduce motor space.
The performance of variable frequency motor is better than that of ordinary motor in many aspects, the most important of which is that it can realize stepless wide speed regulation and light load low speed with less power consumption; but there are also shortcomings, such as the loss and temperature rise around the power frequency are significantly higher than that of ordinary motor, and the noise and vibration are relatively poor. The high price and the difficulty of using and maintaining the inverter are the obvious weakness. Therefore, do not blindly use variable-frequency motor. According to their actual working conditions, we should choose whether to use ordinary motor or variable frequency speed motor or brake motor and so on.
